I am a psychotherapist and resident of Asia for more than 30 years, having lived and worked in Japan, China, Thailand and Tibet. My client base is largely comprised of the members of our global expatriate communities in Tokyo, Sapporo and Niseko: senior managers of global brands and their spouses; investment banking professionals; foreign service officers; and marketing professionals and teachers. I also work with bilingual Japanese nationals seeking a confidential ear and remotely serve clients located in Singapore, Hong Kong, Shanghai and elsewhere in the world. Perhaps I can be of assistance to you or, alternatively, refer you to someone who may provide you with a better fit. A brief chat on the phone will help clarify our suitability to engage the work together. It is most often life’s challenges and accompanying feelings of anxiety or depression – or both – that spur us to reach out and seek help. What we may find, however, is that the discomfort that often brings us into therapy is but a portal to a process, as we edge ever deeper into the work of self discovery and finding our way to more meaningful approach to life.
